Description

A fresh and zesty avocado salsa, perfect for dipping or topping dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 small jalapeño, finely diced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados using a fork or potato masher until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Squeeze in the lime juice to add flavor and prevent browning.
  4. Stir in chopped red onion, cilantro, salt, and jalapeño (if using) until well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add a dollop of sour cream.
  • This salsa is best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to one day.
