Description

A quick and flavorful ramen dish with garlic and a kick of spice.


Ingredients

  • 1 package instant ramen noodles (exclude seasoning packet)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water
  • 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
  • 2 teaspoons everything bagel seasoning
  • green onions (thinly sliced, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the ramen noodles in water until just cooked; reserve ¼ cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter over low heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and chili flakes; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in brown sugar and soy sauce, letting it slightly bubble.
  5. Add the cooked noodles and reserved pasta water to the pan.
  6. Pour in the lightly beaten egg and stir quickly to coat the noodles.
  7. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning and mix well.
  8. Garnish with green onions (optional) and serve hot.
